Drops of Kindness on Better World Day

Our Crew gathered with our YO Buddies in Miss Sarah's first grade Crew to celebrate Better World Day.  Together, students collaborated to write letters of gratitude and paint rocks to spread kindness into our community.

These are just a few of the notes written by students:

Fourth graders and first graders took turns sharing the pen.  It was incredible to see the collaboration and thought that was put into these letters.

Despite the rainy/snowy weather, we ventured out into the community to spread our notes of kindness and gratitude.

It was a joyful and inspiring event!

Our Crew did a phenomenal job demonstrating our Habits of Character (especially perseverance ☺)

I was so proud of our Fox Creek Crew!

We continued our Better World Day celebration with Ms. Jen.  She read the book The Three Questions and taught us new yoga poses to go alongside our reading.  She also shared that yoga consists of more than just poses - it is about living a life full of gratitude and kindness.  I can say that we are well on our way to becoming true "yogis."

Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out and supported us during this adventure.  In the words of our Crew, "You ROCK!" (pun intended ☺).
