Meet Miss Chelsea

Hello!  Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  My name is Chelsea Higgins and I will be your child's fourth grade teacher at Fox Creek Elementary.  I am thrilled to be teaching in such a wonderful school that helps children reach their fullest potential and realize that anything is possible!  We have many exciting things planned for this upcoming year and I know that it will be a year filled with lots of hard work, learning, and fun!

I grew up in Douglas County and moved back to the area a few years ago.  Previously, I lived in Greeley where I had the opportunity to teach third grade, fourth grade, and reading intervention and in Denver where I taught third grade and kindergarten.  In 2014, I graduated with my Master's Degree in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado and received a Certificate in Early Language and Literacy from Adams State in 2017.  I am ready for an exciting year in fourth grade as we learn and grow together!

At Fox Creek, we believe every child can and will succeed.  Through our collaborative community, we work hard to meet the diverse educational and social needs of every child that enters our building.  The students and staff practice and live the concept of Crew and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others.  Fox Creek is a place where we ALL belong!  I can't wait to see what's in store for this year!

If you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations you'd like to share, please feel free to contact me.  I'd love to hear from you!

I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning with your child!
